Why choose our hydrolyzed collagen protein?
Almost a third of your body's protein is collagen
Collagen is the most abundant structural protein in the human body. It is most abundant where tissue needs both tensile strength and elasticity at the same time: in the skin, skeleton, tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.
We get less of it from food nowadays than before. Collagen is found in connective tissue – skin, cartilage, bones – and the modern diet is built around muscle tissue. A fillet strip contains plenty of protein but very little of the parts that collagen comes from.
What "hydrolyzed" means
In its natural state, collagen is a large molecule. It does not dissolve in water.
In hydrolysis, protein chains are broken down by enzymes into short collagen peptides. The documented average molecular weight of TopShape100's raw material is 2–4 kDa, or approximately 2,000–4,000 daltons.
The difference is visible in the glass. The powder dissolves in both cold and hot liquid, does not gel, does not leave lumps, and does not alter the taste of the drink. Gelatin – the same raw material without hydrolysis – gels as it cools.
If the packaging does not say hydrolyzed or collagen peptide, it is worth checking what is actually in the jar.

Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass.
No gluten or lactose is used in the manufacturing, and the product does not contain any EU-declarable allergens. The product does not require GMO labeling.
Amino acid profile characteristic of collagen
| Glycine | 22.1 g |
| Proline | 12.6 g |
| Hydroxyproline | 11.9 g |
g amino acid / 100 g protein
These three together make up about 47% of the protein's amino acids. It is precisely this composition that distinguishes collagen from standard protein sources, which have relatively low amounts of glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline.
Quality is not just a promise
Precise physical, chemical, and microbiological quality requirements have been defined for the raw material. Every batch is analyzed.
Measurable parameters include:
- protein content (requirement at least 97% of dry matter)
- heavy metals: arsenic, cadmium, chromium, copper, mercury, lead, zinc
- E. coli
- Salmonella
- yeasts and molds
- total bacterial count
- pH and dry matter content
There is a Certificate of Analysis for every batch. In the delivered batches, E. coli and Salmonella results have been negative and the analysis results have been within specifications.
Certificate of Analysis is available upon request.
Know what you eat
There are dozens of collagen jars on store shelves. Few of them disclose the origin of the raw material, almost none disclose the molecular weight, and hardly anyone offers a Certificate of Analysis.
We provide all three.
Documented quality. One ingredient. Nothing unnecessary.
About us
Hi, my name is Esa, and I am a father in my early sixties. I started strength training when I was 12 years old because I was small and thin at the time. We lived in a neighborhood where boys were valued based on their physical strength.
Even back then, I understood that nutrition was very important. I ate crushed soy and used Weider protein pills, which were very expensive at the time. I also tried many flavored protein drinks such as strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. Over time, however, I began to find the taste unpleasant.
As the years went by, my interest in nutrition grew, and I competed in bodybuilding at the Finnish national level, earning several silver medals. I also studied cell biology and nutritional science, as I realized that nutrition accounts for 70–80% of training results. You are, to a large extent, what you eat — and about 30% of the protein in the human body is collagen.
I wanted to create a protein product that was perfect for me, because I could not find a suitable one on the market. It had to be tasteless, easy to mix with anything, and of the highest quality.
This is how Topshape100.com was born, and in 2017 I launched an online store. The products had to be produced in larger batches, so it was natural to offer them to others as well. My goal was to create a product that was both high-quality and affordable, because I know that no one has unlimited money to spend.
Topshape100 is suitable for many different needs: ketogenic diets, weight management, building muscle mass, supporting digestion, and even as a recovery drink during training (it contains hydrolyzed protein peptides). In other words, it is suitable for everyone.
The product is so high in quality that it is even suitable for kidney patients undergoing dialysis.
Best Regards,
Esa
